When Love Isn’t Enough
Somewhere in between
The breaks in our relationship
I forgot him
And he lost sight of me
Cause he don’t see me the same
And I only see myself through his eyes
Now we’re one person
And who I am is gone
We don’t talk no more
Cause he don’t speak to me the same
And I don’t listen like I use too
So conversation ain’t needed
The passion of our 1st encounter
No longer exist
He don’t touch me the same
And my body can’t respond
Playful lust has been replaced
With sexual mechanics
It would be an understatement
To say that our love
For one another
Is diminishing rapidly
Since it now feels like sedated comfort
I’m beginning to wonder
If it’s worth it
But when I feel like
Throwing in the towel
I realize that relationships
Don’t always go as planned
And sometimes staying
Is harder than leaving
